The most important thing is to be aware while observing data or reaching wrong conclusions. Here is the list of Common mistakes digital marketers make when analyzing data: Ignoring micro-conversions : Traffic on your platform converts through micro and macro conversions. Interactions like newsletter sign-ups, video view, time on site, bounce rate reduction, etc., are called micro-conversions.  Macro-conversion includes activities like an e-commerce transaction or a lead form fill. Improving micro-conversion can improv...

Reasons Why Nano-influencers Are Rising!

Image
Who are nano-influencers? Nano-influencers are people who have followers between 1000 and 10,000 and create content in a particular niche. These are everyday people like neighbors, friends, and your cousin who is into watches. You may be a nano-influencer if you have 1000 influencers and a point of view with which people like.  Today brands are collaborating with these nano-influencers to market their brand.  You must be wondering why a brand would want to include nano-influencers in their marketing campaign when they don’t have massive followership like celebrities? Reasons why brands collaborate with nano-influencers: Trust and Engagement: Nano-influencers do not have a good reach, but they compensate for that with the trust, intimacy and engagement that they have built with their followers. To better understand and look at it this way, people tend to take advice to make purchase decisions. In such a scenario, if you get a product recommendation from someone you trust...

Google Rolls Out Broad Core Algorithm Update

Image
Every year Google rolls out thousands of updates to improve the quality of search results. However, Google is in the news for the core algorithm updates that it has rolled out on 2nd June, 21, and the other part of the same update is releasing in July. This time Google has released a broad core algorithm update which impacts the Google search overall. The main focus of this rollout is to improve search relevance. This update has raised concerns among site owners regarding their site ranking on Google search engine page as some noticed a drop in their ranking, and some witnessed traffic spikes. There is a mixed response from site owners.  If your website ranking has dropped, then Google’s John Mueller has also stated the reason behind it. “It’s essentially just saying, from the way that we determine which pages are relevant, we’ve kind of changed our calculations and found other pages that we think are more relevant. So it’s not a matter of doing anything wrong and then you f...

YouTube Is Testing a New Feature to Hide Video Dislike Counts

Image
Creating content is no cakewalk, and seeing more dislikes than likes in a video could easily be one of the worst nightmares for any content creator. Moreover, recently internet trolls have begun weaponizing the “Dislike” button to convey their message and mock authentic content. Besides, sometimes these “dislikes” on a  video  have nothing to do with its content, thus overthrowing the whole point of having a “like” or “dislike” button. Taking all this into consideration, the video-sharing giant YouTube announced that it is testing out a new feature that won’t display the number of dislikes on videos. While the dislike counts will not be publicly visible, the same will show up inside YouTube Studio only, meaning the “Dislike” button will still exist. In simple words, the viewers can still dislike a video, but since it won’t be displayed publicly, it will help avoid targeted online attacks by internet trolls. In its recent announcement, YouTube said that the creators will...

Impact of the COVID-19 Lockdown on Creative Concepting

Image
While it is not uncommon for the creative teams to work remotely away from their office confines, being mandated to stay home-bound could be restrictive for a process that heavily depends on team chemistry. Moreover, with a continuous flow of stories about selfless service, human sufferings, and the fragility of life as a whole, presumptions on human behavior probably need to or are being reconsidered, particularly when it comes down to creative thinking. The big question here is – in this restored focus on “pure creative thinking,” has a notable change taken place in perspective and approach towards ideation? Is there a need to polish some meta-skills and to have a deeper connection? According to Agnello Dias, Co-Founder Taproot Dentsu, and Creative Chairman, DAN, the frantic churn for newer creative that decreased the lifespan of every piece of creative to a couple of weeks might and should (honestly) slow down. He believes that the race to get something “new” out there often outweig...

Understanding What Online Reputation Management Really Means

Image
As a digital marketer, one of the most common grievances that we get from potential clients is that when something goes wrong with their online reputation, they start feeling like if they take any action, it could make things worse. For example, the clients think that if they leave comments in places where their online reputation isn’t up to the mark, it could turn more eyes towards them or that if they start addressing their customers’ complaints head-on, it will result in more complaints flooding in. Improving and maintaining an online reputation needs a special skill set. Nevertheless, most  digital marketing  agencies can agree that many of their potential clients don’t “really” understand what online reputation management means. It does not involve wickedly playing the system to remove genuine criticisms of a brand from the web. Likewise, in the same way, it isn’t whining, grumbling, or anything else with a resentful, defensive, or authorized overtone. To tell the truth, ...

How to Vivify Boring SEO Reports With Storytelling?

Image
Monthly SEO reports provide a channel for informing the clients, displaying the return on investment, and leading the conversion for upsells. These are the only way to keep your clients informed about the work you have been doing for them, and therefore, these reports are a crucial part of any  SEO  strategy. Even though SEO reports are vital in numerous ways, they are generally reduced to mediocre PDF templates with a general message forwarded to clients every month. Good SEO reporting makes a huge difference when it comes to building trust with your clients. Effective customer service and results are the bread and butter of every  digital marketing  agency, and SEO reports help us distinguish ourselves from the competition and build long-term relationships with o...
